I have a secure home network setup using a Linksys wireless router with two
computers. Computer 1 is connected directly to the AP and Computer 2 accesses
the network through a USB wireless adator. I have enabled file and printer
sharing on both computers. I can see Computer 1 and its shared folders from
Computer 2 but cannot see even see Computer 2 in My Network Places from
Computer 1. Anyone have any thoughts?

Churilla,

Based upon your problem description, a couple possibilities come to mind.
# Firewall.

# Registry settings.

If nothing useful yet, we can diagnose the problem. Provide "browstat status"
and "ipconfig /all" from both computers. Instructions in this article (some
detail about the two computers might be useful too).:

Thanks! It was a dual firewll problem, both Windows Firewall and McAfee
running at the same time. McAfee was, of course, the problem.

That's great news! Thanks for letting us know.
