File sharing lock count exceeded.

"File sharing lock count exceeded. Increase MaxLocksPerFile registry entry."

What does that mean specifically? I'm trying to split a table into several
tables with the table analyzer and it gives me this message and won't do it.

I don't have admin rights so I will have to go get someone from IT. I would
like to sound somewhat intelligent about what I need when I go over there so
if someone can explain what this is all about, I would really appreciate it...

There is a KB article about this. Look it up at search.microsoft.com
