File sharing/computer accessing

I am having problems accessing my computer or it's shared files from other
computers on the network and best I can tell I have everything set up to do
so. I keep getting the "\\computer is not accessible" message. Also, I want
to RadMin into the same computer and I get a "Can't connect to the server"
message. I think these might be the same problem but I've never used Radmin
before so perhaps not. Any suggestions?

Jonathan,

if you are using xp sp2, check the firewall settings.
If you have any other firewall, also check its settings.
Both comptuers need the file and print sharing enable

test sharing a file or folder and try to see it from the other computer.

*check if you can ping the two computers first
