File sharing between XP and Vista... what am I missing?

I've spent the last 5 hours trying to network my Vista build 5384 to XP SP2
through a D-Link DGL-4300. Neither computer can see the other but they can
both ping each other. I have firewalls turned off on both systems as well as
all that crazy Vista security for troubleshooting. My two XP systems can see
and share with out a problem. What am I missing here?

Yes I've already done that. I cannot access either vista or xp by browsing,
or by going to run and using the IP or \\computername. At the very least the
vista machine should be able to access the xp ones since their file sharing
has been setup and working perfectly for years!

I'm having the same problem.

I can't access my laptop running XP Pro from my Vista Beta 2 PC.

I CAN access my Vita PC from my XP laptop though...

Acually, I went into Nework Center & disabled then re-enabled my adapter,
rebooted and now everything works ok.
