file-sharing between winXP pro boxes

Here is te senario;

I have two machines runnig win xp pro (machine1,machine2). I would like
to create 2 share folders in machine 1, for simplicity folder1,
folder2.

folder1: share folder (on machine1) for everyone on the lan, (read &
write)
folder2: share folder (on machine1) for certain user, for simplicity
userA (userA, has an account on the machine with the share folder,
machine1)

If I used simple file sharing both folders will be accessable by
everyone. (wich I don't want)

If I disable simple file sharing, but give permission to userA (both
share permission and NTFS security). And try to connect from machine2.
I get access denay message and (no prompt for user and password).

basically; I would like to create share folders in a workgroup, and
assign different users for different share folder.

Thanks

Have you tried right clicking on the shared folder -> properties -
Security tab???

You can add or remove users who can access and not have access to th
shared folder
