File Sharing and Access

Ive set up home network with wizard, and turned on advanced sharing. Both
computers on the network will still not allow me to access either or Progam
Files folder. I would like full access to these folders thru Network Places

Do you have a common, non-Guest account properly activated on both computers?

I had this problem and it was the windows firewall was turned on. A couple
of obvious questions. Are both machines set to optain an ip automatically?
Can you ping either or both machines? Do you have link lights on both nic
card as well as activity lights on the router?
