File & Settings Transfer problem...

I am trying to get 3 users profiles from an old xp computer to a new one.
I thought FASTWIZ took users individual docs, pics, IE settings, etc & would
moved to new computer.
I am getting duplicates of folders on the root of C!
WTF?!?!?
I want each user to be able to log into new computer & see same desktop,
have IE & OE settings be the same, My docs & My Pics to be the same.
Would it be easier to just copy certain files/folders to new computer?

I think you need to tell us all of the story, Mike.

Using WinXP's FAST Wizard, by MVP Gary Woodruff
(Please read the caveats about Outlook Express)

I have an XP Pro computer, with 3 user accounts on it.
I need to format & reload XP, but want to keep files, etc.
Can I run once & get everything for all users, or do you run under each
different user?
Also, computer shown as having SP2, but I believe had a botched SP3
install.
Should I updated new install to SP3 before running FASTwiz?

Did you format & reinstall Windows or are you trying to move the data to a
new machine now?

Why did you need to "format & reload XP" anyway? How can you be sure the
User Account data is safe to use again?

Something in the network settings was trashed beyond repair.
I cloned the drive before doing all this, so I'd have a point to go back to
& after running FASTWIZ I made a restore point.
I set up new accounts on new computer & brought in 1st account & everything
looked good.
Logged in as other users & nothing from old computer was there.
Booted off of old disk & ran under 2nd user, & brought thos setting in on
new computer & all was fine there, but messed up first user account I set
up!
One of those days when I wish I could throw it out the window!
But after all that, I think I got there, just went the long way around!
