Not sure if i should post this here or not but it happens with Excel files
and haven't seen it elsewhere.

When some of the users are working in the files off a server(w2k) share and
save the file, they are prompted to either overwrite or save a new file.
When they go to overwrite changes it gives them a sharing violation, access
denied message. The users have full change perms for the dir and files
below. When an admin right clicks the file to get properties only the
general tab appears. The file can't be moved or deleted as no one has rights
to it. Has any one run into this? I am digging around the KB but not finding
much.

Call MS Support to get the hotfix. You won't get charged for it if it's a
bug.

Yeah I know, but all the phone numbers refer to personal support, this is
for a school.
