file retrieval

I by accident closed my .doc file without saving it but worked on it for
about four hours prior to closing it, and now i am unable to retrieve
it.....any suggestions??

please help!!

I'm afraid you are out of luck... especially if you neglected to save
periodically during those 4 hrs. A very expensive lesson to learn, but if you
just get in the habit of throwing in a Ctrl+S once in a while or clicking the
Save Button now & then the most you'll lose are the changes made since the
last save.
