Was the file copied from another computer over a network?

Yes. It was copied from another computer.

Well, there you are.

It was modified on another computer before it was created on this computer.

There are two ways to do this:
1) Right click the file and click properties. On that screen will be the
"Created" date, the "Modified" date, and the "Accessed" date.
2) Open Explorer (click WindowsLogo-E), navigate to the file, and when you
find it, change the current view to "details" (click the View button on the
menu, and click details), and right click the date modified sort button (or
any of the sort buttons) and check the "Date Created" button.

Is there any way to find out when the document was originally done on the 1st
computer if the 1st computer doesn't exist, or is the modified date the
original document date?
