I am using FP 2002 on XP Home. I have created a seven page
web site and I am ready to upload to my server...my
problem is all my pages, files, images etc...all point to
my hard drive ie: C:\Documents and Settings\my
documents\my webs\webpage.htm...how do I correct this??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

When working with your web locally, always be sure that you have first open
a web (File Menu | Open Web) and that all content has either been created or
imported into the current open web prior to using.

Thanks for the response! Ok....I tried that and everything
is still pointing to my C:\\ drive....how do i fix this
and still use the site I created and not screw it up...I
would hate to have to start over and lose all the work
that took me six months to put together.

You have to correct your current hyperlink directly in FP by re-doing them.

Here are 4 options:
1 Open the web in FrontPage, then use Tools - Recalculate Hyperlinks

2 In Windows Explorer create a new top level folder eg C:\mywebs
Open the existing web in FrontPage, then File - Publish. Browse to the
new folder and publish all. If this does not reset the hyperlinks to
relative then you have a backup of your web for 3

3 Open your web in FrontPage. Use Edit - Replace
Find - C:\Documents and Settings\my documents\my webs\
Replace with - Leave this field blank, make sure there are no spaces.
Choose the options to search the HTML source code, and search every page.
Complete the search/replace operation, and use Tools - Recalculate
Hyperlinks
Check the links.

4 Use the Reports View to check and repair broken Hyperlinks.

they convert to http:// addresses once uploaded. It points to C: drive because
it is on your c: drive, unless you publish and then edit from the server (rather
than work on locally stored files).
