Windows XP Home dosen't support Network devices. This is the reason why you
are not abel to access Printers.

Have you tried setting up a user with the identical credentials on the Home
XP box as one that has permission to access shares on the XP Pro box?

Have you tried to access the share with the UNC path?

Start > Run > \\computername (or IPaddress)\sharename

:
Not true. XP HE does support network devices and can print to other
PC's printers.
In this room, I have W9x, W2K PRO, XP HE, and XP PRO; I share files and
printers
all over the lot.
