File & Print sharing over the internet

I have 2 computers running XP Pro, I want to be able to access files databases & printers. First computer on DSL, second on 2 way satellite both Dynamic IP's. Any suggestion would be helpful.
 
A VPN is the safe way...but given the latency of satellite links you may be out of luck...
