File "Preview" Icons

I went to a Microsoft event in NYC yesterday, and the presenter had his Vista
machine configured so the icons for the Office applications showed the actual
file contents. For example, the PowerPoint icon showed the first slide in
the deck. I have been trying to figure out how to turn this feature on in
Vista, but so far I am not figured it out. I know I must have missed
something easy and obvious; I would appreciate it if anyone can help me!!!
Thanks.

It is supposed to be on by default. Pictures will show the contents, and
Office 2007 documents will show their contents. The icon sizes have to be
medium or larger I believe.

I think you have to enable preview icons in the "save as" dialog of your
document. At least for Office 2007 you have to.

Thanks, but I think I know what the problem is. If I am not mistaken, the
icons will only show the contents of files saved in the new XML format. As
most of my documents are still in Word 2003 format, they will just appear as
Word icons. Am I correct in this assumption?
