file permission issue

XP Home, SP2
I'm trying to access my music files on my secondary hard drive. Whenever I
click the file toplay it or even try to open iTunes I get the following error
message:
"The iTunes Music Library file is locked, on a locked disk. or you do not
have write permission for this file."
I used iTunes 2 days ago and everything was fine- so I don't think it's an
iTunes issue. I think it's a file issue and I need to know how to get those
files back to where they can be accessed.
Any help is appreciated.

I followed those instructions to the letter and I'm still getting the same
error message. Any other suggestions? Should try uninstalling and
reinstalling iTunes?

That's what the person above referred me to. I tried it and it did not
alleviate the problem.

Perfect. That worked. I tried to do a search over there earlier today and
found nothing- so thank you for locating the solution!!

You're welcome. BTW, I did a Google search of the error message you gave.
