File Open

Using Excel 2000. When I click on file, open, is there a
way I can have the left pane of the window have direct
links to folders I want instead of History, My Documents,
etc.

MS has a COM addin that's called Places.exe that allows you to update the places
list.

Scroll about halfway down.

And when you upgrade to xl2002, then you don't even need Places.exe.

You can click on Tools in the File|SaveAs and see an "add to "my places""
option.

(it'll be greyed out until you select a folder.)
