All,
I get the following error message when I try to open a presentation:

"An error occurred opening the file dialog. Please save your presentations,
exit, and then restart Powerpoint."

I followed the instructions but I still get the same error message.
Help!!!

Thanks

Check to see if you have any addins loaded.

What add-ins are loaded?

Steve,
I get the following addins listed:

No std addins

COM addin:

multimgraddin.AddinDesigner1PDFmaker.OfficeAddinrhd.Connect

No std addins
COM addin:
multimgraddin.AddinDesigner1PDFmaker.OfficeAddinrhd.Connect

If you have the Acrobat CD and can easily reinstall, it might be worth
uninstalling Acrobat temporarily to see if that helps.

If it's Acrobat 7, read the instrux carefully. I think there's some kind of
deactivation process you'll want to go through first so it doesn't think you've
installed it on multiple machines.

Steve,
I tried the following:
1. Removed Acrobat
2. Repaired MS Office(reinstall)

But I still get the same error message. The following COM add-ins are still
loaded in:

multimgr
Designer1
rhd
Connect

I'm stumped; and all Google turns up is three or four sites that have slurped up
*our* conversation here.

I guess the next thing to look at is whether you've installed any service packs or
new software lately.
