I have recently noticed that all my excel documents now open with filename
[SHARED] displayed in the title bar. I can now no longer edit graphs :-(
The problem persists if I copy the workbook to another machine.
Can anyone tell what my problem is and how to solve it

Thanks

Chris

You can share a workbook via:

Tools|Share Workbook

You can unshare it via the same menu choice.

But if you do have others editing the workbook, maybe the owner shared it on
purpose. (If you are the owner/only editor, then this wouldn't apply.)

Thanks Dave that seems to work. Is there any way to do this to all my
workbooks at once? I am the creator and only person to use the workbooks and
had not directly set them up for sharing.

Thanks

Chris

Having said that I don't share the workbooks I do share them with my laptop
via my briefcase could this be the reason why they have all become shared?
Thanks

I've never used the briefcase feature, so I don't know that answer.

You'll have to unshare workbooks one by one.

You could have a macro that does it, but why bother?
Whenever you notice it shared, just unshare it.
