File Lost on CD-RW

Is there any way of telling whether a file has been deleted besides looking
in the Recycle Bin? I tried to acces a Word doucment yesterday that was
located on my CD-RW disk but was unable to do so. Now when I try to call up
this particular file, it show the disk to be blank. I have tried looking for
this file on my C drive and other places but to no success so far. I am
pretty sure that I didn't delete this file. Can someone help me? Thanks

Is the RW disk showing as totally blank? How was it burned, packet writing
or as 'multisession ISO' ? Might take a look at the disk with a program such
as ISO Buster and see if anything is on the disk. Packet writing will do
some 'funny' things...I would first try ISO Buster and see if any data is on
the CDRW disk.

Try this

Start - Search - All files and Folders - A word or phrase in the file

Just type in a phrase that you know is in the document.

Which will *only* work for selected document types where there are
'filters' to handle formatting esc codes, or for pure ASCII text in txt
files. That limits to Microsoft Office types, HTML and so on; not third
party WP files
