File Label Colours

Pete Harris

For some reason about 90% of my file labels on my C: have changed from black
to blue. All folder labels are still black as well as file labels in the
memory stick I use as a backup.
Can anyone tell me why this should have happened and how I can restore the
labels to black?

Hi Pete,

The blue color means that the folder/file is compressed or encrypted.

Have a nice day.

Blue - compressed

Green - encrypted

Folder Options, View, toggle "Show encrypted.............."

These are compressed files. The way to change the color back is to
uncompress the files.
