File is missing or corrupt: C:\Winnt\System32\Drivers\Pci.sys help

I have an emachines desktop computer which was working fine till i turned it
on the 1 day and it came up with File is missing or corrupt:
C:\Winnt\System32\Drivers\Pci.sys and says that the problem can be fixed with
the orginal CD but as it was preinstalled when i got bought the computer i
dont have the orginal cd just the restore disks. i try using these but they
dont work and XP wont load too... does anyone know how to slove this problem
please?
