Hi,
I have a problem at work.
The company is changing from Excel 2002 to Excel 2003.
In the past, when one user attempted to open a file that another user had
open the usual message stating that "File in use" by User "is locked for
editing" would appear.
That no longer happens. The only indication is the Read Only in the title
bar
Each user has there own workstation computer. All computers are connected to
a Windows 2003 Server.
I've done a lot of Googling on this and found that some people over the
years have had a similar problem, but sadly no answers.
I've thought it may be some conflict with other software. The Desktop
Enabler for Lotus® Domino® Document Manager has been cited by IBM as causing
this type of problem but we dont have that software.
Does anybody know of anything that could cause this.
Its causing a lot of confusion and time wasting.
Thanks
Bob
