I am trying to extract a file sitting in a sub-directory of a zipped folder
via shell. I have tried the syntax: EXPAND EXAMPLE.ZIP NEWFOLDER but after
extraction the folder becomes of type file. Please help

Hi

Are you using the built-in XP utility or a 3rd party program?

Hi

Try right clicking on the zip file and selecting 'Extract'.

Don't use WinXp built in utility. It is slow and sometimes hangs for a little
time. Use WinZip or WinRar or any 3rd party utility.
