Trying to open a file I get quick flash of a DOS window and then nothing.
How do I fix? Pleeeeease Help

"Pleeeeease" tell us the name of the file and what is is. What were you
trying to accomplish?
 
My guess is that the file you executed is simply running a DOS script. It's
possible that you should run this from a DOS Prompt (Command Prompt). If
you can tell us what the filename is... that would help.
