File Extensions in Documents List

Hello Group,
Is there any way to tell Win2000 which file extensions should show up in
the Documents list? I only want the .doc files to appear there, but
currently other filetypes show up there as well.

Whatt you can do is choose the file extensions that include .doc. Then in the file name box type *.doc and hit <ENTER>. This will show just doc files then. You can also do the same thing by choosing files of type All files then do the same thing. No you cannot change the files of type. That is part of the programming of the application. But as I looked in Word there is a section in files of type that does exactly what you want. Do the drop down. There is an option Word documents (*.doc). So a number of ways to do it.
