this extension appears on my files when I am moving them
to photo albums, email and other moves. what it is. No
one can open the file when ".ink" is stuck on there.
Where does it come from and how can I get rid of it.

Thanks

Unless you are working with XP Embedded, this is wrong NG for this kind of
questions.

I'm unfamiliar with .ink extension.

But in case it is .lnk, then you should consider to do actually move or copy
and not to make link.
