I have an asp.net intranet site created using vb.net
codebehind. I have 4 vb.net exe's located on my IIS
server and can be accessed by hyperlink. Each time these
links are opened and the exe is launched an Internet
Explorer caution File download box is brought up. It
warns you about downloading EXE's and ask if you want to
open, close, download. The checkbox to never prompt is
not available. This screen is annoying for I know these
are all safe and is only downloadable for internal use
only.

Is there a way around this or to avoid this
warning/security box from appearing?

Thanks

it's not a server setting, it's a client issue. It's the user's IE config.

I'm sure virus writers would love an option to disable the security warning.
Luckily, that is not possible.
Only the users can adjust these kinds of options through their browser
settings.
