When i download files (.zip, etc.) it is set to OPEN the file, not bring up

Through the File association by clicking on Tools>> Folder Options >> File
type >> Zip and change the settings there.

That is not what i asked... I asked "When i download a file FROM the
internet, it does not bring up a prompt to OPEN, SAVE, or CANCEL. I want it
to bring that prompt up again.

The "File Download" dialog box appears if you download a file after you
click to clear the "Always ask before opening this type of file" check box
in Windows XP Service Pack 2 or in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1

Also...
AlwaysPromptWhenDownload: Makes the Always ask before opening this type of
file check box on the on the Safe Open File dialog box unavailable so that
it is always selected.

Yuki,
Still the same:
= Open windows Explorer click Tools >> Folder Options >> File Type and scroll
to whichever file type (ZIP, XL, HTML, Doc..etc...) and Highlight it then
click on Advanced Button.
The check the Box for [ ] 'confirm open after download'.

= Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Click Advanced Tab and scroll down under Browsing Option,
that this check box is checked:
[ ] Prompt when download is complete.

Then click Security Tab and then on Custom Button:
Level/Downloads-Automatic Prompting for File Downloads to Enabled
HTH.
Let us know.
