File Download Prompt Check Box

I'm trying to find a way to re-establish the prompt box that allows me to
"Save - Download - Cancel" when I download a file from a Web site from within
IE. I unchecked this warning message and don't know how to make it re-appear.

Can anyone help?

Below is some info I found through the IE Help topics, but it doesn't answer
my question. I'm also having the same problem in Outlook.

Thanks,
Jim

Downloading files

For the most security, make sure the Always ask before opening this type of
file check box is selected. If you feel confident that this type of file or
program is always safe to open or run directly from the Internet, make sure
this check box is cleared.

Note

The Always ask before opening this type of file check box is not available
for some file types, such as files with the extensions .exe or .com, which
run programs or commands. When this check box is not available, you will
always be asked before opening this type of file.

Note that this depends on the particular file extension. No english
WinXP available at this moment, therefore translated on-the-fly:

Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types > select file type >
Advanced button > Confirm Open After Download > tick.

THanks for the info, but it still doesn't work. I unselected the tick
located at Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types > select file type >
Advanced button > Confirm Open After Download > on a different comuter in hopes that the prompt window would dissapear and it didn't. I even restarted the computer after doing this. It's .csv file I'm downloading and that's the extension I unticked. The prompt box should have disappeared, no?

Any additional help would be greatly appreciated. ; )

Well, the posted procedure works in 100% of all cases, usually. No idea
what you've unselected. You may want to post your issue in the specific
IE group: microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

Small catch here. For CSVs, you want to enable the option for .XLS

Not prompted to save .csv file after download:
