Hello:

Strangest things started happening on our Win XP Pro
machines today. When I copy a file to my desktop, either
from our Novell server, or from the local drive, it
creates a duplicate of the file. The two are linked,
though. When I delete one, the other gets deleted as well.

What might be causing this? I've cleared all profiles
from the workstation, save the permanent ones, and logged
in fresh. Still happens. It doesn't seem to happen when
logged in locally as administrator.

Thanks

Andy

What you see on the desktop is a second way of looking at the folder
c:\Documents and Settings\<logon name>\Desktop

Are you confusing the two?
