I have just run disc cleanup now all my file colours have changed from black
to blue text which is harder to read. Any ideas how I can change them back.
System is working fine. Newer files since the clean up are still showing in
Black type. Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Cleanup has compressed many of your files to save disk space.
Compressed files are indicated by blue versus uncompressed files
whose names appear in black.

The blue color shows that the file has been compressed. When you run
"cleanup" it will compress files that haven't been used in a while. They can
be uncompressed if need be by choosing Properties from a right-click on the
folder containing compressed files and choose Advanced. Once there you can
uncheck "compress contents to save disk space" and click OK. You will be
asked if you want this to be applied to subfolders - answer accordingly.

Or, alternateively, you can leave them alone as they take up a smaller
space. If you haven't used them in a while no problem.

To Arnie and Grand Poobah.
Many thanks for taking the time to reply. I am now happy as the files, as
you suggest, have not been accessed in ages so, as you rightly say, they are
the ones that have been compressed and "blued"; any files I have saved since
are back in black.
Best regards and thanks again.
