Hi all,
I have got the following problem and I have not find the appropriate
solution yet. In a Word doc, I am referencing several others placed on my
hard disk. I'd like Word to transform the name (path + name) into a hyperlink
to those files. According to Word help, you have to check the box:
Menu: -> Tools -> Autocorrect Options-> Autoformat as you type -> Internet
and network paths with hyperlinks
It is working for Internet links (www.microsoft.com) and e-mail addresses
([email protected]), but for file/folders references (c:\temp\myfile.dat).
In such cases you have to prefix the name and path with "file://":
file://c:\temp\myfile.dat
It's a solution, but not the prettiest one. How can I get an automatic
hyperlink by writing only "c:\temp\mydocs.dat"?
Any idea would be appreciated!
