File Association

Chris Juffre

I am having trouble switching the file association in
Windows XP. When I add .tif and .tiff file associations,
Windows Photo and Fax Viewer always opens up the file when
it is double-clicked no matter what settings are set in
the registry. Has anyone heard of this problem or a work
around?

In control panel--folder options--files--the .tif and .tiff are associated
with Windows Photo and Fax Viewer. Try right clicking on a tif file and
select 'open with' and select the program you want to open the file with.
Hope this is clear but I don't know what your objective is.
