I upgraded to office 2007 and now my field codes for time are not working… I
have checked and rechecked the formatting and can’t find anything wrong… I
even recreated the excel and word doc’s in Office 2007 thinking it could be a
2003 to 2007 problem… after all of that work it still isn’t working. Here’s
my info
Excel worksheet
Pickup_Time
4:00 PM
Word Doc field code
{MERGEFIELD “Pickup_Time†\@ “hh:mm AM/PM†}
The results
0.66666666667

I could really use your help in figuring out what I’m doing wrong and how
to fix it.…

What was your previous version (just curious)?

Short answer:

With the connection method you've chosen from Word to the Database, Word
sees the data in the cell not the formatting. You either need to change
the connection method or add a general format switch to the MERGEFIELD
to force the formatting you need.

Long answer(s):

Date, Phone Number, and Currency fields are merged incorrectly when you
use an Access or Excel data source in Word
