Is RickWorld's Find & Replace Utility still the best utility for searching
out and replacing in Access?? I have used it and I was wondering if there is
anything else out there. Why doesn't MS include this in Access??

The ones I've used are:
Free: http://www3.bc.sympatico.ca/starthere/findandreplace
Find and Replace: http://www.rickworld.com
Speed Ferret: http://www.moshannon.com
Total Access Analyzer: http://www.fmsinc.com

Speed Ferret is pretty powerful and flexible; Total Access Analyzer goes way
beyond a find and replace utility.

Speed Ferret is still not up to date. If you use 2003, you have to also have
a previous version installed. They have been promising 5.0 for over two
years now, but it still isn't available.

I have found Rick Fisher's Find and Replace to be a very usefull product and
probably the best value for the money.

I hear Total Access Analyser is a good product, but the $299 price tag
scares me off.

Gnnnn... that's a pain. I haven't had to use it much lately. Sorry to hear
that they painted themselves into a corner with the "upgrade"!

It is indeed a good product... and it is indeed expensive. I've certainly
gotten that much value out of it but it took several projects <g>

Were I back doing my own consulting, I would buy Analyser. I can see it as a
real time saver.

BTW, haven't been able to get into the private groups for a few days now.
Who should I contact?
