Hey
IDE: VS .NET 2005

I want to start developing web parts in visual studio 2005 and are wondering
where is the latest version of the web part templates. I did find this
download (the link below), but the file is from 2004 and I don't think the
file is meant to be used in visual studio 2005.... (2 years old) There must
be something newer I must download and install instead... I'm not sure what
it is.... if you have the link to correct web part template/sdk needed for
visual studio 2005, then please give me the links....

Is "Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services assembly" the
Microsoft.Sharepoint.dll?
#3
Is it so that I need to have Windows Server 2003 (Visual Studio 2005 also)
installed on the computer I develop Web Parts on? I wonder because AFAIK
WinXp haven't got the "Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services assembly"...
Maybe it could be created on a WinXp computer if the "Microsoft Windows
SharePoint Services assembly ( Microsoft.Sharepoint.dll)" on Windows Server
2003 is shared... so that WinXp computer has access the drive where the
Microsoft.Sharepoint.dll is located? If it's possible to develop Web Parts
on a WinXp computer using Visual Studio 2005, how is it setup so that it has
access to "Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services assembly"?
(I prefer developing on a WinXp computer, if I must do it on a Windows
Server 2003 computer I must first remove WinXP and install Windows Server
2003.... takes time, when I say WinXp I mean WinXp pro sp2)
Please help me with these questions... I'm about to start learning Web Parts
and are wondering about these fundamental questions
