Here's a brief store bio:
What's the history of Festonmart? you might ask yourself. Well,
Festonmart's official website would CERTAINLY be the place to look!
First off, the name... What is Feston but a jumble of letters that just
happens to roll off the tongue? Well, feston happens to be my last name,
minus a couple of letters... my last name is Featherston. If you take off
the first 2 letters and the last 4 letters, you will get Feston. Here's an
example: FEatherSTON. I had been looking for a catchy name for a possible
business for years, until one day I was bored as a 2x4, I sat down to do
nothing, and there it was: Feston!!!
....and that's how my store got it's title!
How Festonmart was born...
I was sitting at home, gathering up stuff to put on eBay, and my little
brother and sister caught a whiff of the project, and they went NUTS over
some of the stuff I was getting rid of, which was some pretty neat junk.
They kept asking me if they could buy some of my stuff, and I said fine.
now, they ran out of money fairly quickly, so I said I'd keep selling
stuff... They all of a sudden wanted to sell ME their old stuff... Of
course, I thought this was fun, so I wanted to keep the store running. To do
that, I needed to stock up with new merchandise, so I couldn't refuse...
Thus Festonmart was born... Now, I have turned my mini business into a real
business, by getting this web site... My family still buys from me
occasionally, only now, IT'S ONLINE!!!
