Set the BIOS to boot from the CD, restart with the XP CD in
the drive. Select install, delete the present partition and
start over.

There is no Fdisk in XP. If you really want to use Fdisk then download the
dos floppies from bootdisk.com.

Greetings --

FDisk is an old MS-DOS utility that is neither available nor
needed in WinXP.

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered
the opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of
the installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of
boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)

Assuming that you want to reinstall Windows XP, just boot from
the Windows XP CD and follow the prompts for a clean
installation. It will do the reformat for you.

You can find detailed instructions here:

However, Andrew should note that you can not use FDISK to create
NTFS partitions.
