Please respond to the following:

Pentium IV System
HDD #1---40GB on primary IDE Controller set at Cable
Select...WIN2000 Pro Operating System (NTFS)
HDD# 2--4GB HDD on Secondary IDE Controller set at Cable
Select (removed from existing CDROM Drive)...old data HDD
w/Win95 Operating System FAT32).

After transferring data files from "D" to "C," reboot PC
w/floppy disk provided by company under DOS and run FDISK
from A:.
Accept Enable Large Hard Disk Support, verify there are
two fixed drives one at 38000+ , and the other at 4010 or
so.
Change the fixed drive to 2.
Verify Primary DOS partition space as 4010 (or so), and
select delete primary DOS partition. Accept all answers,
and say "Y" to are you sure.
Question? If you delete a second hard drive's partition,
would it be possible to also delete the fixed hard drive
one's partition as well? If not why? If so why?

Seeing that your post talks about booting into DOS
and about DOS commands such as fdisk.exe,
you might get more replies if you reposted it in a
Win9x newsgroup. Anyway, if you cannot delete a
partition with fdisk.exe then you can always use
delpart.exe, available from
http://www.russelltexas.com/delpart.htm.

I don't know if this will help but::

'It's command-line only, so it takes a bit of learning.
However, it is much better than Windows' FDISK because it
can make partitions larger than 10 GB. It worked very
nicely on my 80 GB HD. It also has a command switch for
formatting. =)'

Little program over at cnet.com called Aefdisk.
