FDISK dual boot

I have 2 HDD's
one is on primary IDE (120 Gb) behind an adapter card (Promise TX2)
the other on secondary IDE (10 Gb)
I would like 120 Gb to be assigned to letter C of DRIVE 1
and the other D of DRIVE 2
Using FDISK, i cant do it, 120Gb is always considered DRIVE 2
more....only DRIVE 1 can be activated
if anyone can light me ?

If your OS is Windows 2000/XP do the folowing:

Disconnect the 10 GB.
Install your OS on the 120 GB and finish the entire OS installation. In the
Promise manual you can read how to set the drive as bootdrive. The
driveletter is automaticaly set to C:
Connect your 10 GB. Make sure you don not have an active partition on it and
the bootsector does not contain any boot information.
