I have Verizon DSL is there a way that I can send and receive faxes. using
my DSL moderm

Hi,

No, you need a traditional fax modem, a dsl modem is not that same thing. An
alternative is to locate an internet fax service. There are many of them
available, though I have no specific recommendation.

Leroy, I have found that, I have had over the years 6 computers, Compaq, IBM,
etc, trying to use WinFax, NortonFax, IdiotProof Fax, that I cut my losses
and purchased a Brother FAX 560 Plain Paper for less than $75 counting TTL
plus a extra phone cord was the easiest way to send faxes. This one keeps
track of how many sent, who sent to, when, tells you when to put new printer
ribbon (actually looks like carbon paper on toliet paper cardboard rollers -
actually just wrapped around rollers, just jesting on the toliet paper but I
have eliminated that other problem. True you have to print out some of the
things that you will want to fax but on the other hand you would have to scan
some papers to get it into the computer and so forth. It is black and not in
color but if I have run into this I have just used Yahoo Mail, scanned
whatever needed into a color picture and sent it to them in that format. It
works both ways.
Hope this helps,
Cliff
