Windows XP Fax Services

Dear,
Please help regarding the fax on winxp pro SP2.
I can't see the window picture and fax in the add/remove windows component,
i get the error message : the installation library for the component fax
could not be initialized.
I have an IBM X41 and the system was loaded by the manufactured.
Please assist
