Hello,
My Windows got currupted a few weeks ago. My nephew reloaded Windows and
then I reloaded all my programs. I just tried to fax something and have no
fax capability. I have chatted with HP folks all day and no luck. They
suggested checking Windows XP page. I tried reloading the Home edition
software and get the message:
file fxscfgwz.dll is needed.
I don't know what to do now. Everything I see on the Windows site is way
too technical for me. If will make a mess of things if I try to figure it
out on my own.
Please help.
Thanks
LF

Open Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, click "Add/Remove Windows
Components" in the left column, deselect Fax Services, and exit. Go
back to the same area and add the service. Hopefully, this will repair
the install.

If HP had a fax program included on your original OS, they should have
told you how to install that one.
