fax server security concerns...

We are configuring one ou our WIndwos 2003 servers as a fax server. We wiull
be installing a BrookTrout fax board.

I have been asked before we purchase this if there are any security issues
with allowing fax data to be transmitted directly to one of our servers...

Is there any kind of risk that would allow one to "dial-in" to our system
using the fax line and gain access to resources through a fax board?

I've never heard of any risks but I would assume there might be...

As long as the modem is set to Send/Receive Fax Only there should be no
issues.
