After configuring the fax service in Windows XP, and
whenever the computer is on, all incoming phone calls are
treated as faxes? Can not receive voice call!!

Your modem is designed that way. It cannot distinguish between a real
caller and a fax machine when the phone rings. If it rings, it will do its
job and take the call.

You probably want to look at
a) getting a separate dedicated line for fax
or
b) getting something like Catch a Call (www.catchacall.com) which will sit
between phone socket and hardware (phone and fax) and send each to the right
destination

Try setting your answer mode to manual from automatic answer. To do this go to Tools>Fax Printer Configuaration. Click on the Devices tab. Click on the Properties button. Click on the Receive tab. Under answer mode click on the "Manual" radio button

Hope this helps

Currently there is no way to distinguish fax and phone calls in Win XP.
However, you could achieve this by using third party software. For more
information see -
