fax and dvd problems

ok. on startup windows wants to install the fax software. it gives me
the option of where to locate the software. i don't have an xp cd so
where on my hard drive might i find it. it even does this if i try to
install it in cont pan. windows programs. other problem is my dvd drive
all of a sudden will not read disks. any thoughts?
 
You go to Add/Remove Windows Components to install the Windows Fax Service.
Check the DVD drive in Device Manager for any issues.
