Favorites not complete/Same

My Favorites folder in My Docs does not contain the same links as does
the Favorites tab inside IE 6.0.28.
How do I migrate my older links into the current folder of Favorites
and where is this folder exactly?

btw.
I've read back through this group and none of the other solutions have
corrected my problem. I've copied the folder into a
/Windows/Favorites folder,,,no good.
I haven't touched the registry yet though.

Don't copy the folder, copy the folder's contents.
