Favorites Folder Gone!

Fran

When removing a program (Earthlink Total Access) via Add/Remove in Control
Panel, I inadvertently removed my Favorites folder which apparently was part
of the program I removed. Is there a way I can recover/reconstruct my
Favorites folder? Thanks in advance, Fran

Hi, Fran.

I just saw your other copy of this message in another Newsgroup. On those
rare occasions when you MUST post the same message in more than one NG,
please cross-post. That is, put all the NG addresses in the NG space of
your Compose window. That way, your message will show up in all those
groups but, after I've read it once, it will be marked "Read" - for me - in
all of them. The payoff for you is that all the responses will appear in
one coherent thread visible from all those groups so that you won't have to
check them all one at a time. Also, if you get bad or incomplete advice in
one NG, someone in another NG can see and correct or complete it.

The Favorites folder is a part of WinXP. I don't know what effect EarthLink
might have on it, but Add or Remove Programs should not have deleted it.
Are you SURE your Favorites folder is gone?

Actually, there should be several Favorites folders, at least one for each
user. Look for them in Documents and Settings.
