in windows xp, how do i backup my favorites file.
or copy to a diskette, cd, or anywhere to save it.

If it is broken up in folders right-click the folder
and use "send to..." >> desired place. If folders
are very large might want to compress(zip) it and
then save/backup.

Per Chris Lanier:

Sure. In IE, File>>Import and Export

Export favorites and save them to a CD or floppy.

Go to the folders in C/Documents and Settings and find the Favorites folder
in each. A simple copy and paste of what you want should work. Same idea
with a burn to a CD. Create a data disk and locate via your CD software.
Or copy and paste the shortcuts onto a diskette.
