'favorite' will not delete

ok...this is bizarre, i have a favorite saved that is no
longer a functioning website. when i try to remove it
from 'favorites', the url/address will not remove. i
have tried all conventional methods, even tried symantec
file wipe..nothing. any ideas, it wont even delete in
safe mode...thx

i do get an error message in this format...

'cannot delete specified file' (file name)~1.URL. Please
specify correct path and file name.
